Program membership issue Ben talked with Bridget and Mark Mark wants to know value of non-student members Help with coaching, help with fundraisers, Leila is NAIGC representative, are some of our best gymnasts, most are alumni, some are ex-team members for Cal gymnastics
Budget concerns Lena talked to Mark, who is still “working on it” Meet setup money should be coming through soon Lena will keep bugging Mark
Uniforms Lena will order them soon Fundraising Basketball concessions We have 3 this semester, and need 10 people for each Dates are Nov. 9, Nov. 14, and Nov. 18 (old info, now Dec. 3 & 6) Need to convince people to go Babysitting in the gym Next semester Need to turn in proposal to Darrell with cost per kid and what we’ll do with the kids Golden Bear will take a percentage of the profit Will work out a price at the next meeting People that plan on competing at nationals can either pay $50 registration fee or work 3 fundraisers (still need to work one even if they do pay) Ben will put up sign-up sheet for concessions fundraisers
Nationals Medical Vanessa talked to firefighters/EMTs in San Jose Need to know max. amount we’re willing to pay Need 1 person to cover 2 half-days (Thurs. and Sat.) and full day on Fri. NAIGC listserve Sign up if you want to know what’s going on with nationals and get more involved Thursday practice session Need to pay EMT if we have one Sessions Want them to be as efficient as possible Keep what the teams will want in mind We should have a meeting to get all the officers on the same page about nationals Registration forms Deadlines: several on forms, need to make less confusing NAICG dues: form says $25 per person late fee, due Feb. 1st Registration fees: $25 late fee Issue: what to put on form so people can fill out 1 form when dates are different (Jan 1, Feb 1, Mar 1) Tell them to put names they plan on competing, and email Ben to make changes Need to be able to sign up for more than 1 team Need a way to associate late registrants with their team Ben will email listserve that registration & dues are separate and to clarify deadlines and fees Probably won’t offer YM t-shirts number of blanks for competitors should be changed Equipment Will rent all of men’s and women’s from Hass Need a 2nd floor Davis person will ask and are willing to help us move it (pick up on Tuesday) Have 2 trucks available Need one more set of free-standing equipment for bars (4 total) Need to pick up 3 that are already arranged for Ben has contact info for a 4th Set up on Wed. Apr. 5 Tell people to keep schedules open Get other people to help and let them into the meet for fre Recruit guy friends Will have biweekly meetings next month next semester to plan for nationals, maybe weekly if needed Talk about issues on NAIGC listserve beforehand (sign up for listserve) Next meeting Dec. 7, 7 pm Communication between officers Issues about running Halloween meet: Ended up delegating what Crystal said she would do to other people in the future email the officers if you have questions or need help with anything communicate, people will help, and we’ll all be happy Ben thinks it’s more work to delegate than to do it himself, and that people need to do what they say they will, especially since we’re hosting nationals Ben still has concerns about what happened at nationals last year Oregon might have a meet in Feb. Sunday, Jan. 15- MANDATORY nationals meeting/officer bonding
