Officer Meeting Minutes for October 5th, 2004

Start time: 8:10pm

Days in the Gym: Shannon wants to switch to Thursday, Alex switches to Monday.

Officers on duty must put out t-shirts on their nights.

Dues: All officers now must make sure everyone has paid. Everyone on paid list must fill out waivers. All officers must LEARN PEOPLE'S NAMES!! 

Safety Certification: Talk with Paul so as to set up a time, and the gymnastics club will pay for it right there. Have everyone take the same class. Email Paul for when you can go to the safety classes, CPR and otherwise. Safety coordinator has to check the red bag list, and make sure that the red bag has it all, no more, no less.

Coaches: New coach from girl’s school team, join Kyle on Wednesdays.

Meet is on October 30^th, open warm-up time is at 3:30pm. Be done by 7:30pm. For meet: coordinate decorations, talk with other teams, get judges, get awards, put together a scoring system. Ben will handle judges. Adam Cox will (hopefully) be the trainer for the day. If we want to do concessions, we will need to deal with club office.

Officer Bonding time: Bowling, ice skating, rock climbing, games…ideas?

Friday, October 8^th, 2004, at 6pm, at Ben’s place. Ben will make pie, everyone brings food (potluck). Ben’s house is on Grant St., off of University.

Finances: In the budget: $6,863.11. For coaches, $30/night, $1800 for semester for coaches. Nationals is paid for by fundraising money.

Fundraising: Date Auction? Set and tear down equipment for varsity teams.

Purchases: T-shirt design, warm-ups, sell old stuff first, then new stuff can be bought. Sign up sheet around to see who wants warm up, get grips, sell to members at cost. Get a bunch of size 2’s, a few 3’s. Get the same warm-ups from last year.

Treasurer must bring a budget read out to every meeting.

Secretary: Turn in rest of waiver forms, clean out cabinet, get a member info spread sheet. Update list server.

Historians: Update website, announcements have to be updated. Take out stuff that is out of date or inaccurate. Put pictures and video on website. Coordinate team picture. Have picture taken the practice before home meet, and at the home meet.

President: Know everyone’s names.
