Membership and Fees
The Cal Gymnastics Club is for UCB students, staff, faculty, and community members. No matter what your level of experience, we provide coaching for the inexperienced novice to the seasoned veteran.
Individuals are required at the beginning of their first night to sign a proof of insurance waiver form in order to take part in club activities.
All members of the Cal Gymnastics Club are required to pay dues to the club each semester, as well as satisfy certain membership requirements with the University of California, Berkeley department of Recreational Sports. The fees (as of Fall 2006) are:
Students:
$50 - fall
$50 - spring
$35 - summer
Community Members:
$75 - fall
$75 - spring
$50 - summer
Due to University regulations, all fees for club dues must be paid at the cashier station just outside the RSF (on Bancroft Way, between Dana and Ellsworth). Receipts of payment are collected in the gym for verification.
Students and community members may also come to the Gymnastics Club for a trial visit and pay a $5 visit fee (cash only). Upon the fifth visit, individuals are required to pay the full semester’s fees.
In addition to the dues, there is also a University requirement that all student sport club members possess current RSF memberships ($35 per semester) and that all non-student club members possess either current RSF memberships (fees vary) or current adult program memberships ($60 per calendar year). These membership fees are paid directly to the university, and are not related to the club’s dues. The memberships may also be purchased at the cashier station outside the RSF.
